Rajen Padukone is the MD & CEO of Manipal Health Enterprises (Manipal Hospitals), the corporate healthcare and hospitals entity of the Manipal Education & Medical Group. He joined Manipal Group in 1998 and over the past 15 years has worked in both their health and education verticals.
Mr. Padukone's varied experience of over 30 years, covers the healthcare, education, banking and financial services and manufacturing sectors. His healthcare experience includes establishing start-ups, bringing about a turnaround in operations and building & linking healthcare networks across the spectrum of primary to tertiary care.
Mr. Padukone is the Co-Chair in FICCI's Health Services National Committee and is a member of the CII National Committee on Healthcare. He is a member of the Governing Council of the Healthcare Sector Skills Council and a member of the Governing Council of the Healthcare Federation of India (NATHEALTH). Prior to joining the Manipal Group, he was associated with ANZ Grindlays Bank (1985-1998). He has also worked with Crompton Greaves Limited and Kirloskar Oil Engines Ltd.
Mr. Padukone is a Post Graduate with a Masters in Economics from the Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, and with a Masters in Management Studies from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai.

Hari Buggana is the Managing Director of InvAscent - the Investment Advisor of Evolvence India Life Sciences Fund. Prior to this, Hari was a consultant with McKinsey & Company. During his stint at McKinsey, Hari primarily worked with Life Sciences businesses in the US, Europe, and India on a variety of issues ranging from corporate strategy, mergers & acquisitions, product-market strategy, R&D productivity, organizational effectiveness, and operations improvement. Prior to joining McKinsey, Hari worked as a scientist in the Pharmaceutical Products Division of Abbott Laboratories, USA. Hari has a MBA from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University and a M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago.
Evolvence India Life Sciences Fund is a Private Equity firm that provides growth capital to established small and mid-sized companies in pharmaceutical, medical device, and medical services segments of the Indian healthcare sector. Portfolio companies include a specialty generic injectables company with US FDA approved manufacturing facilities; India’s first cancer care network with 16 super specialty centers across the country; a US FDA approved manufacturer of specialized medicines for treating Central Nervous System disorders; India’s second largest manufacturer of surgical consumables; and India’s largest producer of Vitamin D3.

Ratan Jalan founded Medium Healthcare Consulting in 2009 when he realised the need for bold and innovative solutions in the Indian healthcare sector.
For the last eight years, Ratan was the CEO of Apollo Health and Lifestyle Limited, part of the Apollo Hospitals Group. He created some of the most successful and innovative healthcare formats in the country such as a nationwide network of The Apollo Clinic and The Cradle, South Asia's first boutique birthing centres. He also championed some of the strategic marketing initiatives for the group.
In 1996, as President, Ratan set up India's first healthcare consulting and architecture firm Asian Health Services, a JV with ServiceMaster, a Fortune 500 company. In a short span of three years, the firm had become the undisputed thought leader in healthcare and worked with leading organisations like Wockhardt Hospitals, Escorts Hospital, Max Healthcare, Aditya Birla Foundation, IL&FS and Gleneagles Hospitals.
Ratan has over three decades of experience across diverse industries and functional responsibilities. He started in the information technology industry with HCL Technologies and then moved to advertising at Lintas (now Lowe). During his ten years there, he set up and headed the integrated marketing division and worked on leading Indian and international brands.
Ratan was awarded the Marketing Impact Award by S P Jain Institute of Management and has been nominated as one of the 50 most influential professionals in retailing. Recently, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame at Franchise Awards 2008 for the success of The Apollo Clinic initiative. He is also a frequent speaker at leading management institutes in the country and various industry forums.
He is an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and Harvard Business School.
